Bored investors don't write checks
Gabe and I just sat through another investor conference where everyone seemed perfectly fine being boring as hell.
Room after room of founders saying the exact same things. Investors checking their phones. Everyone pretending this was normal.
Here's what we don't get: You're asking for millions of dollars. You're building the future. And you're putting people to sleep?
In every pitch, you have the chance to prove your point - sure. But more importantly, you need to create belief around your company and leave investors actually excited about you. Not just impressed. Excited.
It's not about wow factor. It's about giving them a reason to remember you when they're writing checks.
That's what we do.
